My name is Skip and along with my wife Sue, are the operators of TASK-ITeers, a home-based
Personal & Pet Services business here in Mesquite, Texas. We have been married for 15+ years and
originally hail from the northeast. In the winter of 1997 we happily transplanted to the DFW area and as
the saying goes, “got here as fast as we could!” We are both former supervisors -- Sue having worked
in the travel and hospitality industries and myself in manufacturing and the medical field. In the
latter part of 2003 we suffered near simultaneous layoffs prompting us to start TASK-ITeers.

During the early years of our marriage we operated a similar part-time errand, chore and odd job
business in eastern Pennsylvania which was solely devoted to satisfying the needs of the area’s
senior citizen population. Then, like now, grocery shopping was near the top of our to-do list
but as time went on we found that their needs were more extensive. Assistance in end of the month
bill paying, reading and composing mail for blind clients, the re-arranging of furniture and foodstuffs
-- as well as other like-minded duties -- were constantly popping up.

In resurrecting the Personal Service here in Texas, we quickly discovered that a many of our initial
requests dealt with pet-related chores – sitting, waste removal and exercising, just to name a few. In early
2005 we officially changed the name of our business to TASK-ITeers Personal & Pet Services.
